For convenience and easy access to historic Summerville, Charleston, and nearby beaches, I recommend staying in the Nexton area. Located just off I-26, it offers newer hotels, walkable dining, and a short drive to all major attractions.

If you're staying in Nexton, you'll have several great dining spots right at your doorstep:

Downtown Summerville is full of historic charm and locally loved spots. Whether you’re exploring the square, strolling through Azalea Park, or meeting friends for dinner, here are a few can’t-miss stops:

Charleston Bakery and Deli – one of the best spots in town for (enormous!) desserts, fresh bagels, hearty sandwiches, and other classic Jewish eats.
